Become a Beta Tester

What testing WideOpen actually looks like — no pressure, just the details.

Hey, thanks so much for agreeing to help test WideOpen. Here's what I'd really appreciate — none of this is mandatory, but if you skip it, the only consequence is that I'll be quietly disappointed on the inside. No pressure. 🙂

The install

  1. You'll get a link — tap it, hit "Become a tester," then install from the Play Store like normal.
  2. Please keep it installed for at least 2 weeks. Google actually requires a certain number of people keeping the app installed and using it for 14 days before I'm allowed to publish it publicly, so this part genuinely helps get WideOpen out the door.

What I'd love for you to actually do

How to send feedback

Pick whichever's easiest for you:

One extra thing, if you're up for it

The "Pro" features (journey logging, GPS tracking, endurance certification tools, destinations, and more) will eventually be a one-time purchase on Google Play — but I'd like you all testing the whole app, not just the free slice, and Play purchases aren't live yet anyway. If you want a free trial unlock:

  1. Open the app → Settings/About → find your Device ID and copy it
  2. Send it to me (text, email, however)
  3. I'll send back a code you can redeem in-app (Settings → Redeem Code)

Totally optional — the free tier is still useful to test on its own — but if you can spare 2 minutes, it means way more of the app actually gets exercised during this test.

The actual bottom line

Seriously — no guilt trips here. You're doing me a real favor just by installing this and poking at it a few times. Anything beyond "installed and opened it twice" is a bonus, and anything you report back, even something small, genuinely helps. Thank you!
